Highlights
COSIRI (Consumer Sustainability Industry Readiness Index) is an enterprise ESG framework created by INCIT (International Centre for Industrial Transformation) to help industrial facilities assess, track, and benchmark their sustainability readiness.
The COSIRI (Consumer Sustainability Industry Readiness Index) web platform by INCIT transforms an industrial ESG auditing framework into an automated SaaS ecosystem.
As the Senior UI/UX Designer, I designed a unified multi-tenant platform that balances administrative governance with audit execution speed across three distinct operational roles: COSIRI System Admin, Company Admin, and COSIRI Assessor. The platform automates assessment token allocations, manages account transfers during offboarding, provides live multi-dimensional scoring, and issues verified digital COSIRI Emblems and Certificates.

Challenge
Data Exposure & Permission Overlap: Serving global enterprise clients, third-party consulting firms, and internal system operators required strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure read/write boundaries were clear.
Account Offboarding & Orphaned Audits:
When certified assessors resigned or changed agencies, their past client audits, pending drafts, and allocated tokens were historically trapped in inactive personal accounts.
Uncontrolled Token Allocations:
Enterprise leaders lacked real-time visibility and approval controls over how many assessments individual auditors could launch, leading to budget overruns.
Cognitive Fatigue in Long Field Audits:
Assessing dozens of complex ESG indicators caused data entry fatigue, leading to high typo rates and lost unsaved work during site visits.

COSIRI System Admin
- Responsibility: Oversees global contracts, configures company entities, and executes platform-wide account overrides
- Frustration: Lack of master tools to resolve contract limits and cross-agency account transfer disputes.
Enterprise Company Admin
- Responsibility: Provisions new assessors, approves token requests, sets quota limits, and approves account handovers when staff resign.
- Frustration: Zero visibility into individual assessor token consumption and unapproved assessment creation.
Certified COSIRI Assessor
- Responsibility: Conducts site audits, requests tokens, manages client profiles, and generates official COSIRI Emblems upon audit completion. │ │
- Frustration: Slow manual token approvals and clunky scoring forms that don't clearly track completion progress.
Client Executive / Plant Director
- Responsibility: Reviews facility readiness scores and displays verified emblems for stakeholder compliance reporting.
- Frustration: Receiving static, unverified PDF reports with no digital badge authentication mechanism.

- Enterprise ESG Directors: "When an auditor resigns, we need a self-service way to transfer their entire audit portfolio and unspent tokens to another auditor within two clicks."
- Field Assessors: "We need immediate clarity on our active token balance before heading to a plant, and an auto-saving audit studio that doesn't lose data."

Built an offboarding tool to handle employee resignations:
- Assessors leaving a firm can request an account transfer to migrate their portfolio to a colleague.
- Company Admins (and System Admins at a global level) can execute or approve the transfer, preserving historical assessment logs, client records, and active tokens.

Decision 1: Slide-Over Drawers vs. Full-Page Navigation for Approvals
- Trade-off: Slide-over drawers offer slightly less screen real estate than full pages.
- Rationale: Approved actions (Token Requests, Transfer Reviews) occur frequently while admins inspect tables. Drawers maintain visual context, reducing context switching and cognitive load.
Decision 2: Token Quotas vs. Pay-As-You-Go Creation
- Trade-off: Requiring token approvals introduces a brief dependency step for assessors.
- Rationale: Uncontrolled assessment creation resulted in client billing disputes. Pre-allocated token caps enforce financial accountability at the company level.
Decision 3: Strict 3-Tier Permission Presets vs. Custom Role Builder
- Trade-off: Users cannot build custom hybrid roles.
- Rationale: High-compliance ESG audit frameworks require clear liability. Fixed RBAC boundaries guarantee data isolation and simplify onboarding.

What I Learned
- Design for Operational Edge Cases First: In B2B SaaS, workflows like offboarding, account reassignment, and quota adjustments are critical to long-term client retention.
- Context Preservation Drives Productivity: Utilizing slide-over drawers for frequent tasks (like token approvals) keeps administrators focused and speeds up decision-making.
What I'd Do Differently
- Offline-First Mobile Web Sync: I would build an explicit offline caching indicator into the Assessor Studio to reassure auditors working in remote industrial facilities with weak cellular connectivity.
- Automated Contract Expiration Warnings: I would add visual banner notifications for Company Admins 30 days prior to contract expiration to streamline contract renewals before token quotas freeze.

COSIRI (Consumer Sustainability Industry Readiness Index) is an enterprise ESG framework created by INCIT (International Centre for Industrial Transformation) to help industrial facilities assess, track, and benchmark their sustainability readiness.
The COSIRI (Consumer Sustainability Industry Readiness Index) web platform by INCIT transforms an industrial ESG auditing framework into an automated SaaS ecosystem.
As the Senior UI/UX Designer, I designed a unified multi-tenant platform that balances administrative governance with audit execution speed across three distinct operational roles: COSIRI System Admin, Company Admin, and COSIRI Assessor. The platform automates assessment token allocations, manages account transfers during offboarding, provides live multi-dimensional scoring, and issues verified digital COSIRI Emblems and Certificates.

Data Exposure & Permission Overlap: Serving global enterprise clients, third-party consulting firms, and internal system operators required strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure read/write boundaries were clear.
Account Offboarding & Orphaned Audits:
When certified assessors resigned or changed agencies, their past client audits, pending drafts, and allocated tokens were historically trapped in inactive personal accounts.
Uncontrolled Token Allocations:
Enterprise leaders lacked real-time visibility and approval controls over how many assessments individual auditors could launch, leading to budget overruns.
Cognitive Fatigue in Long Field Audits:
Assessing dozens of complex ESG indicators caused data entry fatigue, leading to high typo rates and lost unsaved work during site visits.

What I Learned
- Design for Operational Edge Cases First: In B2B SaaS, workflows like offboarding, account reassignment, and quota adjustments are critical to long-term client retention.
- Context Preservation Drives Productivity: Utilizing slide-over drawers for frequent tasks (like token approvals) keeps administrators focused and speeds up decision-making.
What I'd Do Differently
- Offline-First Mobile Web Sync: I would build an explicit offline caching indicator into the Assessor Studio to reassure auditors working in remote industrial facilities with weak cellular connectivity.
- Automated Contract Expiration Warnings: I would add visual banner notifications for Company Admins 30 days prior to contract expiration to streamline contract renewals before token quotas freeze.
